常识推理作为人工智能的一个领域,旨在为模拟人们在现实世界场景中为解决问题而自然进行的各种推理形式提供解决方案,而基于传统数学方法的技术通常难以解决这些问题。特别是在这一领域,已经提出了各种形式的知识表示和推理机制,以模拟默认推理、空间推理、时间推理、物理世界推理等。 为使常识推理模型形式化,采用了基于逻辑的方法,考虑了经典逻辑的扩展,以及其他类型的方法,如定性物理模型、概率模型等。近年来,常识性知识库的出现也丰富了这一领域。在本课程中,第一部分描述了知识表示、建模和推理的基础。第二部分阐述了常识推理的研究现状。
课程简介: Commonsense Reasoning, as a field of Artificial Intelligence, aims to provide solutions for the simulation of forms of reasoning that people naturally do in order to solve problems in real world scenarios, which typically have been difficult to tackle with techniques based on traditional mathematical approaches. In particular, in this field there have been proposed forms of knowledge representation and inference mechanisms in order to simulate, among others, default reasoning, spatial reasoning, temporal reasoning, reasoning about the physical world, etc. To formalize models of commonsense reasoning, approaches based on logic, considering extensions of classical logic, as well as other types of approaches, such as qualitative physics models, probabilistic models, etc., have been used. In recent years, this area has also been enriched with the availability of commonsense knowledge bases. In the course, the first part describes foundations about knowledge representation, modeling and reasoning. Then, the second part describes the current lines of research in common sense reasoning.
