近年来,语音自动识别技术逐渐得到了提高,但对无约束语音的可靠识别仍然遥不可及。为了取得突破,许多研究小组现在正在研究新的方法论,这些方法论有可能优于目前所有商业系统的核心隐藏马尔可夫模型技术。本文研究表明,最近引入的储层计算概念可能是这种方法的基础。在有限的时间内,已经建立了一个能够识别连续语音基本声音的存储系统。该系统已经达到了最先进的性能,有证据表明,进一步改进的余地仍然很大。
课程简介: Automatic speech recognition has gradually improved over the years, but the reliable recognition of unconstrained speech is still not within reach. In order to achieve a breakthrough, many research groups are now investigating new methodologies that have potential to outperform the Hidden Markov Model technology that is at the core of all present commercial systems. In this paper, it is shown that the recently introduced concept of Reservoir Computing might form the basis of such a methodology. In a limited amount of time, a reservoir system that can recognize the elementary sounds of continuous speech has been built. The system already achieves a state-of-the-art performance, and there is evidence that the margin for further improvements is still significant.
