课程简介: | Homologous recombination (HR) refers to the shuffling of genetic material during cellular division e.g., meiosis and mitosis, and in response to environmentally-induced genetic damage. HR occurs preferentially over certain regions, and is notably influenced by physical compartmentalization due to chromosome packing. Although a number of experimental techniques exist for identifying such effect they are generally costly and time-consuming. Here we suggest a Bayesian approach to recom- bination with a mechanistic prior such that we may infer posterior distributions for recombination frequencies and efficiencies between regions where experimental data may be absent. |
