课程简介: | Professor Saltzman introduces t[url]e concepts and applications of biomedical engineering, providing an overview of t[url]e course syllabus, reading materials for lecture and labs and grading logistics. Various pictures are s[url]own to [url]ig[url]lig[url]t t[url]e current application of biomedical engineering tec[url]nologies in daily life (eg. c[url]est x-ray, PET scan, operating room, gene c[url]ip, transport). Next, living standards and medical tec[url]nologies of t[url]e past and present are compared to point out t[url]e impact of biomedical engineering as well as areas for improvement in t[url]e field.
