| 课程简介: | Species are often subdivided into distinct populations, which are separated by narrow zones of hybridisation. These can be modelled using reaction-diffusion equations, yielding estimates of quantities such as the strength of selection and the rate of diffusion of genes. I will illustrate the population genetics of hybrid zones using our current study system, which involves populations of Antirrhinum (snapdragons) in the Pyrenees which differ in flower colour. |
