Mirrors are used to make wide field of view (FOV) refractive images. The nonlinearity of incident and reflected light depends on the mapping between the shape of the mirror and the studies that have been done using caustics. We analyze this mapping using two plane light field parameters, which provide valuable insight into the geometry of reflected light. Using this analysis, we study the problem of producing a single view virtual image of a catadioptric system, which is impossible to achieve in several common configurations. Instead of minimizing a single image distortion, we propose to capture all the light through the captured light field to produce a virtual perspective. We think that the rotating symmetrical mirror shows that the results of the traditional plane light field are significantly distorted. We propose an axial light field, which is captured by the camera along the rotation axis of the mirror. It can effectively sample and eliminate the aliasing artifacts. This enables us to calculate and generate virtual wide field of view in a more widely used category of mirrors, without prior or depth estimation of the scene. We analyze the relationship between the axial field parameters and the field of view / resolution resulting from the virtual angle. The actual results of the spherical reflector used show that 140 ° FOV virtual viewing angle is generated by using multiple 30 ° FOV images.
