课程简介: | Professor Cedar explains how the DNA methylation pattern is established in development. Starting with the embryo, he shows how initially DNA lacks methylation, and how during development, the methylation pattern is established. This pattern is then preserved throughout organismal growth, based on a novel regulatory mechanism that preserves the original template. Specifically, Professor Cedar explains what elements within the DNA sequence are responsible for establishing these methylation sites. |
