中文简介: | 随着新的分子图谱技术的出现,描述分子实体(即mRNA、蛋白质、代谢物等)之间相互作用的全基因组数据集正在以越来越快的速度生成。这些数据集分别测量在特定条件下活跃的或作为对特定环境信号的响应而发生的特定类型的相互作用。这些公开的数据提供了丰富的信息,可以用来推断新的生物学发现,也可以作为质疑自己发现的依据。在本演示中,我将展示为什么数据挖掘对开发这些数据至关重要,是什么从实用的角度使数据挖掘工具变得有用,以及基础计算机科学如何成为高效计算系统生物学的关键。 |
课程简介: | With the advent of new molecular profiling techniques, genome-wide datasets describing interactions between molecular entities (i.e., mRNA, proteins, metabolites,…) are being generated at an ever increasing pace. These datasets each measure a specific type of interaction that is active under certain conditions or that occurs as a response to specific environmental signals. These data, present in the public domain provide a wealth of information that can be used to infer novel biological findings or as a scaffold against which own findings can be interrogated. In this presentation I will show why datamining is crucial to exploit these data, what makes from practical point of view a datamining tool useful and how fundamental computerscience can be key to efficient computational systems biology. |
